Remarks	Ten elaterid-species, including one new species, have been reported from the Ogasawara Islands. Many unexamined specimens of elaterid-beetles in the Ogasawara Islands were found in the collection of FFPRI. These specimens include one new species and known species with an interesting distribution. In the present paper, nine species were recorded from the collection of Ogasawara Islands. We describe a new species, Ischiodontus boninensis Makihara et Ôhira, record an interesting distribution pattern of Subprotelater hisamatsui Nakane, and give details of the taxonomic status and biology of some other species.
