Remarks	The Japanese species of the family Aulacidae are revised. Two genera, Aulacus and Pristaulacus, and 7 species are recognized. Three new species, A. japonicus, P. insularis and P. ryukyuensis are described. P. comptipennis Enderlein is recorded from Japan for the first time and redescribed. P. intermedius Uchida and P. rufipilosus Uchida are redescribed. A key to the Japanese species of Aulacidae is also given.
