Remarks	Tabanus hyugaensis, a new species was recorded based upon materials collected as larvae or pupae from Kyushu Island in 1976. This species is quite allied to T. otsurui Ogawa and T. masamitsui Hayakawa, but differs from both in its almost linear, lanceolate middle callus on frons, more darkened wings, and especially whitish tibiae of mid and hind legs in female.
