Remarks acyrthosiphon argus Miyazaki, n. sp., is described from the daphne, Daphne odora (thymelaeaceae), in Japan. Heavy infestatioon of the aphid often causes intense defoliatiion which may result in death of the host plant. The aphid seems to live parthenogenetically on daphnes throughout the year. Available information on the distribution of the aphid in japan is presented.
