Remarks	The following three new species of the Brentidae were discribed: Prophthalmus assimilis n. sp. from Laos and Tonkin, Prophthalmus heikertingeri n. sp. from the Andaman Isls., Malkka and Calcutta, and Prophthalmus wichmanni n. sp. from Than-Mai and Tonkin. In addition, general remarks on Prophthalmus containing 13 species was provided. A key to species of the genus Prophthalmus was also given.
