Remarks	A review of the systematic and nomenclatural state of the Cyladinae is presented. The single included genus, Cylas Latreille, 1802, has 24 species. These are catalogued, their synonymy and distribution summarized, and type depositories given. A general introduction to history, classfication, distribution and biology opens this treatment. The following new synonymy is proposed: Cylas longicollis Chevrolat, 1844 syn. n. of Cylas longicollis Guerin-Meneville ,1833.
