Remarks	Callipareius (Callipareius) japonicus was recorded from Mt. Kurodake, Syounai-cho, Yufu City, Oita Pref., Kyushu, Japan for the first time from the prefecture. A male adult was collected in a hollow on an old tree of Fagus crenata (Fagaceae) together with Pseudorychodes insignis.
